25 Years of Married Life: As Our Lord Jesus Christ Planned It

Let me share this with you. Sabrie and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last May 27, 2001. I cannot help but pray, reflect and realize that how our ever loving God, the Great Architect… the Master Builder of my loving family…. planned all of it…. to its finest detail. Do Sabrie and I, for our many weaknesses and errors, merit a life that is planned by the best and wisest Planner in the whole world? But Jesus love is for all His creation… no matter what. He corrects all our wrong decisions and the wrong turns we take, and always brings us to the right path. Praises and thanks to you Lord.

What a wonderful thought, neh! We found out that we: 10-10, Bing, Cathy, Eloy, Mark, Sabrie and me… are not insignificant at all! Actually, we are important enough to have God attend to us seriously… lovingly… every moment of our life. What an inspiring thought how good our God to His creation. Thank you Lord.

Our married life could be a mess or a masterpiece. Looking back… it could have been a great mess if we considered ourselves master and architect of it. Our 25 years married life seems to be now a wonderful masterpiece that have been reworked, patched up, cleaned up, straightened, refurbished, restored in God’s saving graces… up to this time… since we continue to labor with it… with the love, caring and prayers of our kins and friends… as the Master Designer of it intended so. We found out that God works wonderfully through people, too.

Let me, Sabrie and our children not be discouraged or deceived at all… that the fashioning of our family life and its fruits is in the power of our skills, education, luck and wisdom. We can really do nothing better than placing everything to God’s divine molding hands and wisdom. This is wonderful family life in God…. a family vocation as our Heavenly Father planned it for all of us… as His promise…. for His glory and people’s joyful salvation. Praises and thanks to you Lord God.

Lord, lead us to the next 25 years of family life…. in your Sacred Heart…. if you intended so. Also, Lord, do the same for all our brothers, sisters, relatives and friends who continue to help and inspire us; keep them in your Sacred Heart.. in love, joy, peace of family life. Glory to you Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. DSV #
