2001 DEES REUNION: Rekindling that loving feeling….

Ilang tulog na lang nandiyan na po si kami sa California – with Fr. Dodje, Sabrie and Ate Day! Our loving and generous hosts- Kuya Noli, Ate Ludy, Dikong Tonino and Ditseng Pearl are now on their toes preparing for our joyful arrival this August… I could really sense that they are cooking up something…. something wonderful…. Naamoy ko na sa sarap! Ha ha ha ha! Indeed, it will be a real summer holiday for all of us…. best time to rekindle once again the Villanueva brand of family love that keep us bound together through the years. Thank you, Jesus.

Ate Day would be arriving on August 3 that’s according to Kuya Noli. While Fr. Dodje, Sabrie and me would be heading first to the Big Apple (balak kumagat ni Sabrie kung kasing sarap ng big Japanese apples yung New York big apple) on August 9-11 for our “An Affair to Remember” rendezvous thing. Fr. Dodje, aside being our kind tour guide, will document this important event – for this visit will cap our 25th wedding anniversary. The last time I was in New York City was 1976 (right after the filming of King-kong and the death of Elvis). At that time I visited Ate Gonyang, Kuya Rey and family at uptown NewYork. Really beautiful memories I have about them.

We will be in California on August 12….. the birthday of Dikong Tonino! What a happy day to start our family reunion… a birthday celebration with all the Dees (mga kamag-anak ni Sandra Dee…. hindi naman Intsik). Miller has just been drafted by Diko and Kuya Noli as our regular beer drinking companion. I heard, Ditseng Meg and Kuya Noli have lined up exciting activities and itinerary for the 2-week reunion. Wow. Watch out for the photos that will be posted here in Rancho V.

Hindi na ako makatulog… tinatamad na akong magtrabaho….. ilang tulog na lang… nangangarap na si ako…. May tigyawat na ako sa ilong… paputok na… sa puyat. Pihado pagdating sa San Jose at Castro Valley…. Baka puro tulog na lang ang gawin… hahahaha.
